Her passion for entertaining in her Essex County, NJ home is legendary, as is her maximalist brand of glamour. She and her husband envisioned a home for themselves and their three children that mirrored her singular aesthetic: edgy, fashion-forward, and unapologetically luxurious - with a deep love of leopard, lacquer, and high-shine finishes.
Amplify the home’s wow factor with bold design moves and saturated color, balanced by moments of restraint and neutrality.
The project began with a dramatic transformation of the expansive foyer, reimagined as a true grand entrance. A custom turquoise sofa traces the curve of the staircase, set against hand-painted silk and embroidered wallpaper and gleaming finishes that signal what’s to come. That same opulent density of color, texture, and signature leopard accents flows throughout the main living spaces. A full-service bar is wrapped in aubergine, from lacquered walls to velvet banquettes, creating an enveloping, club-like atmosphere. In the living room, pale suede walls and leather-upholstered doors with nailhead trim are jolted with a saffron sofa. Blue-stained wood cabinetry anchors the office, while custom patterned marble floors bring graphic energy to the otherwise crisp white kitchen. In the dining room, sleek furnishings are softened with a blush-pink ceiling and matching curtains for a dose of romance.
Upstairs, the primary suite offers a quieter counterpoint: a Zen-like retreat washed in ethereal blue, with a luxurious bathroom clad floor-to-ceiling in violet marble. The daughters’ bedrooms were designed to reflect their individual personalities - an luscious purple velvet headboard and wall-sized bulletin board for the older daughter, and a custom trundle bed paired with rainbow wallpaper for her younger sister.
The result is a home that fully embraces maximalist interior design - bold, layered, and deeply personal - while remaining cohesive and livable for everyday family life.
