Toledo Geller provides full-service interior design for complete residential environments and select hospitality-inspired projects. Our interiors are layered and expressive, always informed by architecture and shaped through a confident use of color, material, and proportion. Each project is approached holistically, allowing the design to feel cohesive rather than assembled room by room.
From concept through procurement and final installation, we lead every phase of the process with clarity and intention. Working with a trusted network of artisans and trades, we oversee the details so our clients can step back—resulting in interiors that feel enduring, personal, and fully resolved.
In many cases, clients engage Toledo Geller to work across disciplines, guiding both the architectural and interior vision of a project. With a strong technical foundation, our team develops detailed drawings for interior architecture, millwork, custom elements, and spatial planning that gives a project its character and coherence. We partner with local Architects of Record to support permitting and code compliance, allowing us to focus on the creative and technical direction that brings the design to life.
Many clients engage Toledo Geller early in their home search to evaluate a property’s design potential before purchase. Through guided property tours and strategic review, we help clients see beyond current conditions - identifying renovation opportunities, architectural constraints, and the level of investment required to achieve their goals.
Our team provides clear, experience-based insight into spatial possibilities, budgeting considerations, and long-term value, allowing clients to move forward with confidence. This early involvement often leads to smarter acquisitions and a more seamless path from purchase through renovation and design.
Jessica and Virginia were so positive and honest during the entire process. Before the redesign it did not feel like my home and I really did not love having anyone over. I feel the exact opposite now! I 100% feel happy and at home! They also have a way of describing their vision which is mesmerizing. At our presentation meeting I could already envision get-togethers in our home. All I really had to do was trust their vision and make a couple decisions on paint color!

My family's memories are made in this home. I host dinner every Friday night and it is a place for people to relax and spend time together and the space is so comfortable that people never want to leave my home. That is a good designer.
We are so grateful for our experience with Toledo Geller. They streamlined the entire process, kept us on track, and truly understood both the aesthetic and function we were hoping to achieve. They truly brought our vision to life - we genuinely feel like we’re living in a magazine!
— Elizabeth, Glen Rock, NJ
As you know my husband was a bit of a skeptic, but he absolutely loves the finished product and how everything came together. It takes a lot to impress him and he was truly wowed. We are so thrilled you were able to thread the needle of creating something with color and personality while also so elegant. Brava!
— Anne, Tenafly
Toledo Geller made our vision a reality with their impeccable eye for detail and design. We couldn't be happier with the beautiful rooms - a stunning mixture of color, texture, light, and special touches. We are so grateful!

Every full-service interior design project begins with a deep understanding of the home itself - its architecture, its context, and the way it is meant to support everyday life. We start with an on-site visit to study the space, document existing conditions, and review architectural drawings when applicable.
Through a thoughtful questionnaire and early conversations, we uncover how our clients live, what they value, and where the home needs to work harder. Programmatic needs, budget parameters, and timeline are established early, allowing us to create a clear foundation. This phase concludes with preliminary space planning and the presentation of conceptual design ideas that set the creative direction for the entire project.

With the overall design direction approved, we move into detailed design development - the heart of our residential interior design process.
During this phase, space planning is fully resolved and interior architecture is refined, including custom millwork and built-in elements. We thoughtfully select all materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures, balancing aesthetics with longevity and function. Design presentations allow clients to review detailed drawings, experience material samples in person, and, when helpful, explore three-dimensional renderings. This phase culminates in final design decisions and the coordination of bids and estimates with our trusted network of artisans, trades, and fabricators.

Once the design is approved, we take on full project oversight and procurement. Acting as the primary point of contact, we manage the ordering of all furnishings, finishes, lighting, and custom elements while tracking lead times and logistics. We work closely with builders, consultants, and vendors throughout construction and fabrication - reviewing shop drawings, coordinating installations, and monitoring progress - to ensure the design intent is carried through with consistency and care.
This hands-on approach to interior design project management allows our clients to remain confident and informed while we manage the details.

The final phase is where the vision becomes reality. We coordinate and oversee a white-glove installation, carefully placing furnishings, styling each room, and attending to the layers that bring warmth, depth, and character to the space.
Following a final walkthrough, we address any remaining adjustments so the home feels cohesive, considered, and complete - ready to be lived in and experienced exactly as intended.
